Sandy or calcareous soils with neutral to slightly pH are best. Light: Full, direct sunlight, but can tolerate low indirect light.Water: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between watering to avoid overwatering. Tolerates drought but not overly wet conditions. Fertilizer: 6-10% nitrogen (N), 6-10% available phosphoric acid (P), 6-10% potash (K), and 4-6% magnesium (Mg) every other month.Optimum temperature: for fruit growth is 68°- 86°F; not tolerant of freezing temps below 28°F
