Purchased from an antique jewelry check out in France. These are dormeuse earrings, a type that fastens from the back.

They are faceted jet earrings. They have a luster and reflect light.
Black earrings are versatile and can be worn with any outfit, so I think they are exceptionally useful.

Metal: 18k (stamped with an eagle head hallmark + workshop mark)
Era: Circa 1900

*I have worn these a few times myself, and there were no problems with wear, but the looseness or tightness of the fittings is based on personal opinion. Also, since they are antique, they are not superb. Please check the photos for the condition. If you are concerned, please refrain from purchasing.
