This Wartime edition is also a fascinating historical document with a tribute to General Douglas MacArthur, a section on wartime cookery, how to feed a family on $15 a week, and substitution charts for ingredients that were rationed during WW2. Over 800 pages of recipes with color illustrations, a detailed index, and thumb guides for locating recipes quickly. Despite its age this copy is in very good condition! Clean covers with no fraying or bumping, tight binding and clean unmarked pages without stains, tears or missing pages. The paper remains white.
