This is your common, traditional, old fashioned lilac. Blooms for about 2 weeks in May. Blooms are lavender in color and very fragrant:) Plants grow quickly once established, and can be pruned into either a bush or a tree.

Prefers rich, well drained soil
Plants can grow to 10' tall over a span of about 8 to 10 years.
Easy to care for.
