ANTIQUE ROYAL VIENNA ALEXANDRA WORKS
Cobalt Blue Double Handled Bowl
Pastoral scene is Hans Zatzka Spring Fantasy painting.
Circa: 1850 to 1899
Hans Zatzka (1859 to 1945) was an Austrian painter known for his paintings of religious, mythological, and allegorical subjects. He often signed his pieces under the names P. (Pierre) (de) Ronsard or J. (Joseph) Bernard, or a host of other pseudonyms.
For 2 decades I was in the resale business ... antiques, collectable, etc. This was one of those items purchased in an European auction and I kept the piece. I am retired & downsizing.
Gold wash is wearing off of the handles signifying this was lovely used by someone.
NO chips.
Raised bead work framing portrait. Some hand painting.
VERY GOOD antique condition. You will be pleased if you buy this dish.
